Rep. David Gibbs (D - West Point) resigns

Rep. David Gibbs (D - West Point) has resigned his seat effective today.  His seat is a safe Democratic seat, so don't anticipate any change in the party numbers as a result of this news.  Gov. Bryant will presumably set the special election to replace him in short order.
