Mayor Johnny DuPree voted early this morning - as tweeted by WDAM reporter Mike McDaniel. WDAM reporters and the Hattiesburg American are tweeting live coverage, and if we hear anything, we'll be sharing it on Cottonmouth.
With state and federal observers monitoring the polls today, it is doubtful we'll hear too much until the polls close and the votes are tallied tonight. Expect a long night of counting, though, as an estimated 1,000 absentee ballots were cast.
