"The best thing to come through Mississippi since cornbread." - Rep. Willie Bailey (D - Greenville) Named one of the best state-based political blogs by the Washington Post R.I.P. Craig Noone (1979-2011)
I went to the hearing today for about an hour and a half. It sounded to me like the State didn't want to even enroll the people who are eligible under the CURRENT plan. The State grudgingly admits that over 9,000 jobs could be created but brushed that aside. If a plant was coming to Mississippi that touted 9,000 jobs they'd be falling all over each other to approve it. SMH

Fantastic! Too bad we can't run it on all the television stations for about a week.
Hardly surprising in Mississippi ,a state that is routinely convinced to vote against any assistance for the poor. What is wrong with us?
