There's a new political action committee out there paying for mailers for Republican House candidates going by the name "IMPAC." Care to guess who is funding them?
Big businesses, like Dow Chemical and the banks. (See here and here.)
They also gave money last go-round to Ashley Skellie, who just pulled a false and malicious ad about Sen. Debbie Dawkins from the air. More on that to come.
What's interesting to me is that they apparently stockpiled money 3 years ago to fund this last minute blitz, meaning that they were going to do this regardless of what the last legislative term brought. Pure partisan politics on the part of big businesses to get a consumer-unfriendly Legislature elected.
