City of Jackson lands Whole Foods Market
In an announcement met with excitement across the Jackson area, Whole Foods Market, Inc., announced that it would be building a 33,000 sq ft building at Highland Village in Jackson, MS. The store should open in 2013. This is an interesting development, especially in light of the suburban flight to which Jackson is falling victim. Congratulations to Mayor Harvey Johnson (D) and the Jackson City Council. Coupled with an announced sales tax collection 4.38% above estimates, today was a good day for the Capitol City.
