Rep. Jessica Upshaw Found Dead

This has made the rounds in many places already, but in case you missed it, yesterday, Representative Jessica Upshaw of Diamondhead was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head at the Mendenhall home former Representative Clint Rotenberry.

The Clarion Ledger is reporting this, now, as an apparent suicide, but the MBI is investigating the issue further.

While this is certainly news to be reported, we at Cottonmouth would mostly like to offer our condolences to Representative Upshaw's friends, family, and constituents during this tragedy.

Two quotes stuck out to me regarding this incident, one regarding Representative Upshaw, and one taking a broader view of the situation. I will leave you with each:
