Gov. Phil Bryant (R) displays nativity scene at Governor's Mansion

And may well be doing so in violation of the United States Constitution.  Here's a picture of the Governor's Mansion lawn this morning:

Of course there's no secular holiday display, and no menorah or symbol of any other religion on display.  No word as to whether or not others may sponsor displays of their choosing on the Governor's Mansion grounds.

I'm sure the ACLU will be looking into this.  More to come, no doubt.

Mississippi has no regard for the separation of church and state. In fact it has little regard for any rights of the minority or for women's rights. We get the government we deserve.
