The Hancock County Emergency Management Agency will be partially activated on August 26,
2012 and fully activated on August 27, 2012 at 7:00 a.m.
SAND BAG LOCATIONS: Available on August 26, 2012 at 2pm
• WEST HANCOCK FD, 16006 WASHINGTON ST., PEARLINGTON
• BAYSIDE PARK F.D., 6218 WEST HINDS
• COUNTY SOUTH BARN, 6824 LOWER BAY ROAD, LAKESHORE
• COUNTY COMPLEX, 3068 LONG FELLOW DRIVE
• HANCOCK COUNTY HORSE ARENA, KILN/DELISLE ROAD
• DIAMONDHEAD EAST REC POOL
The Hancock County Emergency Management Agency in Coordination with the Hancock
County Board of Supervisors, Cities of Bay St. Louis, Waveland and Diamondhead is issuing
Voluntary Evacuation Orders Monday August 27, 2012, at 2:00 pm for all low lying areas,
residents living on rivers, river inlets, bayous creeks and in travel trailers, Cottages, modular
homes or mobile homes, homes under construction and/or partially constructed homes for
Tropical Storm Isaac.
Hancock County will be opening up two General Population Shelters at 2:00 pm on August 27, 2012. The Kiln Shelter at 18320 Hwy 43 in the Kiln. The Dedeaux Shelter at 11328 Road 350 off Standard Dedeaux Road. Please bring bedding, toiletries, medicines, hygiene and other necessities.
