Oh, boy: Denny plan would REDUCE number of majority black districts

In a move that's going to cause some trouble in the federal courts, Rep. Bill Denny (R - Jackson) has proposed a map that would decrease by one the number of majority black House districts.  A review of the Denny plan summary shows that his plan provides for 42 majority black districts.  The current map has 43.

***UPDATE*** - I counted Districts 71 & 83 twice, so the above is incorrect.  Denny's map does increase the number of majority minority districts by 1.
