Pardon decision from the MSSC today?

There are some rumblings of a pardon decision making its way onto the Mississippi Supreme Court's hand down list this afternoon.  Released each Thursday at 1:30 p.m. on this page on the Mississippi Supreme Court's website, the hand down list contains all of the Court's opinions for the week.

It has been a month since the hearing on the pardons issues, so it's not unreasonable to think that a decision could have been reached by now.  It still might be a bit early, though, as the Court is weighing extremely important issues regarding separation of powers and judicial review.  I would not be surprised if an opinion was released about 90 minutes from now, nor would I be surprised if the Court took more time.

In the meantime, many pardon-related bills died in committee this week over at the Legislature.  I'll do my best to have a recap of the fates of those and other bills of interest soon.
