A "liberal" joins the MS GOP

On May 10, 2011, the Mississippi Republican Party issued a "Liberal Alert" for then-Democrat Donnie Bell. In the post, they berated Bell for voting to remove the one week waiting period on collecting unemployment benefits. They went on to say that Bell stood with liberals instead of fighting for "good, private-sector jobs in our communities." Of course, earlier this week Donnie Bell announced that he's switching from the Democratic to Republican Party.    

Interestingly enough, the link to this particular "Liberal Alert" has been removed from the MS Republican Party's website. Their other liberal alerts remain on the site. 

About two weeks after the Donnie Bell liberal alert, Fire McCoy took another shot at Bell, in which they scolded him for being a "liberal" and for staying "loyal to McCoy and the Boys since taking office."
