Rep. Warner McBride (D-Courtland) is retiring after 5 terms in the Mississippi House of Representatives. Rep. McBride is currently chairman of the powerful Transportation Committee, and had sought election to the office of Transportation Commissioner for the Northern District earlier this year.
Guess we can scratch McBride's name off of the list of potential Speaker candidates if Speaker McCoy decides not to run again.
